In Tom Cruise all Mission Impossible movies, we have been seeing him in the lead character. Ethan Hunt from Mission: Impossible, who has been played by Tom Cruise for over 20 years, should be able to hang up his harness and gun and spend the rest of his life in paradise.

Reports have said that the latest films Mission Impossible: Deadly Sentence part 1 and 2 are being made as a “farewell to Cruise’s character Ethan Hunt.” Coupled with the fact that Tom Cruise is getting older, it seems likely that he will retire. But don’t believe everything you read, says veteran director Christopher McQuarrie of the Star Wars series.

Is Mission: Impossible movie the last film of Tom Cruise?

When asked on the Light the Fuse podcast if Tom Cruise’s time in the long-running action series would end with the long-awaited Mission: Impossible Deadly Sentence, Christopher McQuarrie said, “Let me tell you, I’ve worked with Tom Cruise for 15 years, and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve stood next to the man, seen an event, and then read about it in the press the next day, and nothing you describe is actually true.”

Two things you should know about this: Christopher McQuarrie probably doesn’t like the press, and he seems to imply that the rumors that Tom Cruise is retiring have been greatly blown out of proportion.

After looking at a single example of factual reporting on the 60-year-old actor’s comings and goings—the widely reported tabloid story that Tom Cruise showed up on the ground floor of a Birmingham curry restaurant and ate three plates of masala chicken—the editor said, “When you read “anonymous sources” in an article, it’s someone putting it there for a reason.”

It’s neither a confirmation nor a denial of the rumors about Tom Cruise’s future in the Mission: Impossible movies. However, given his always appealing maturity, it’s not hard to figure out what he means.

When asked if he planned to work with Tom Cruise if the 60-year-old actor decided to leave the Mission: Impossible series, McQuarrie confirmed that he has a “more interesting” project for the Hollywood star: He said, “It’s a secret,” and then added, “He has neither head nor tail.” He does have a head, so that’s not true. We’ve been talking about it for a long time. It’s not something you usually see Tom Cruise do. I really like things like this. It’s a little closer to where I live. And yet, it takes everything we’ve learned on this journey, which is to make best movies 2022 that are more and more about emotion and real emotional experiences.

Where to Watch the Tom Cruise All Mission Impossible Movies?

The latest Tom Cruise Mission Impossible movie, which will star Tom Cruise, is expected to come out soon. The movie begins with Tom Cruise, Simon Pegg, Ving Rhames, Rebecca Fergusson, Hayley Atwell, Vanessa Kirby, Pom Klementieff, Shea Whigham, Esai Morales, Rob Delaney, Henry Czerny, Indira Varma, Cary Elwes, Charles Parnell, Mark Gatiss, Frederick Schmidt, and Greg Tarzan Davis.

Most of Tom Cruise all Mission Impossible movies are available on Paramount+, while a substantial number are also available on Netflix. However, since streaming rights are always changing, this is not the case for all of them; some will require VOD rentals.

Mission: Impossible (1996)

In order to prevent more of his coworkers from being murdered, Ethan Hunt must collaborate with other disavowed IMF employees because there is a mole at the organization. The sequence where Hunt must hang from the ceiling without touching the ground during a break-in at the CIA headquarters in Langley is one of this film’s most famous scenes and has inspired countless imitators.

Mission: Impossible II (2000)

Director of action John Woo picks off where Brian De Palma left off. Hunt must enlist Thandie Newton’s professional thief to help her get information from her ex-boyfriend who is in charge of a biological weapon; the movie plays like a sleek, action-packed gloss on the Alfred Hitchock picture Notorious.

Mission: Impossible III (2006)

Following the events of the second movie, Hunt is able to find love, get married, and live out the remainder of his days leading a regular life. Well, until Philip Seymour Hoffman’s character, an arms dealer, starts pursuing Hunt’s family and protégés, in which case Hunt would stop at nothing to bring him to justice. J.J. Abrams helmed this before moving on to the Star Trek and Star Wars series. It’s also one of the handful that isn’t now streaming on Netflix or Paramount+.

Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (2011)

With this film, The Incredibles director Brad Bird makes his live-action debut. Tom Cruise is basically treated like an invulnerable Mr. Incredible as he is forced to do everything from climb the Burj Kalifa to engage in a fistfight in an automated parking garage as vehicles are being thrown at him. He does, however, have the assistance of Benji Dunn (Simon Pegg) and Luther Stickell (Ving Rhames), two recurring figures who will form the nucleus of his squad moving forward.

Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation (2015)

Christopher McQuarrie, the director of Jack Reacher, joins the franchise for the fifth installment, and he will see it through to the conclusion of Dead Reckoning Part Two. Like the other films in the series, McQuarrie is renowned for his intricate, high-suspense sequences, such as the one in this movie where Hunt and his crew face off against former MI6 operative Ilsa Faust in a hushed, behind-the-scenes confrontation at the Vienna opera.

Mission: Impossible – Fallout (2018)

The most recent Mission: Impossible movie positions the franchise for a one-two finish. Hunt’s team needs to retrieve the plutonium they’ve collected since the antagonists that the IMF has been outwitting for the last two movies have changed into a terrorist group called the Apostles.

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One (2023)

Who can predict the next mishap Hunt and the IMF will encounter? We do know that Agent Carter, a.k.a. Hayley Atwell, will be joining the cast of the upcoming movie. It won’t be released until July 14, 2023, but a cryptic teaser clip has already been released, leaving us wondering what will happen next. Warning: there will be more antics!

Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part Two (2024)

After Dead Reckoning Part Two, Ethan Hunt will be permanently lost to us. The date for this one is June 28, 2024. Will Hunt be able to start a family at last? Will a villain actually triumph against him? Will he ride his motorcycle off into the distance or will he plunge off a cliff without a landing pad? Time will only tell.
