On Saturday morning, Chelsea made it official that Todd Boehly was the new owner of the club.
A statement on the club’s website says that the new owners, led by Todd Boehly, have agreed to buy the West London club.
Boehly became Chelsea’s new owner after he bought the club for £3.5billion, taking over from Roman Abramovich.
It was the Raine Group, a US bank, who said that his consortium was their favorite to buy Chelsea.
A new ownership group led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter, and Hansjoerg Wyss has agreed to buy Chelsea Football Club. Chelsea’s statement read in part:
There are still a few things that need to be done before the sale can be done in late May. At that time, more information will be given out.
