CES 2023 has started. Every year, the Consumer Electronics Show is where companies in the electronics industry show off new products and, mostly, cutting-edge technologies that are coming out soon. In a lot of ways, the event is a look into the present and future of technology, which is important for anyone who wants to stay up to date.

AMD, Sony, Samsung, BMW, Audio-Technica, and a huge number of other brands showed off their new products at CES 2023. Here are the best things we’ve seen and the most interesting CES 2023 tech advances.

Samsung SmartThingsStation

One of the most interesting things that Samsung made was the SmartThingsStation, which is a smart home hub that can also be used as a fast-charging dock. The name, however, could use some work.

This station can be set up quickly to control a wide range of smart home devices from a single place. Samsung says, “Users can automate different parts of their home environment by setting up routines that make their day more comfortable and help them save energy by turning off lights and appliances with ease.” And, as we said, the device will also be a fast charging station for devices that can use up to 15W of wireless power.

The bad news is that it won’t be available everywhere right away. It will first be available in the US and Korea.

BMW presents the i Vision Dee

The BMW I Vision Dee is an electric sports sedan that comes with a bunch of new technologies, like virtual assistants that use artificial intelligence and full-windshield displays. The most important of these is E Ink technology, which was already shown last year as a way for the user to change the color of the car. For now, it’s just a project that’s being worked on, but it’s definitely a taste of what’s to come.

Sony introduces its first electric car

Sony and Honda have worked together to make the Afeela, which is their first electric car. It will go on sale in 2025 and looks futuristic and smooth. The car has 45 cameras inside and outside to make sure it is as safe as possible. It also has a level 2 autonomous driving system, which could be upgraded to a level 3 when it comes out on the market in three years.

The whole dashboard has a screen that shows driving and entertainment information. There are also two extra screens that let you see what’s going on in the mirrors, and the screen in the back turns into a travel entertainment center.

Samsung and Dell introduce revolutionary monitors

You might be thinking, “Monitors? What could be fun?” Well, for the first time in a long time, people are paying attention to Samsung and Dell, who have announced 5K and 6K monitors for creative work and productivity. This is a breath of fresh air, since Apple usually jumps on these kinds of announcements, so we’ll finally have high-quality monitors nearby that we can use for creative work that aren’t too expensive and don’t need a Mac to run, which is definitely the most important thing.

Some experts say that this is because these brands have been focusing on screens more in recent years. Creatives who care about visuals will find that these brands have more to offer, at least for less money.

Peugeot Inception

It looks like 2025 will be the year of the future car. Many of the concepts that are being shown at CES will be on the road in the next couple of years. One of them is the Peugeot Inception, an electric car that looks like it came straight out of Back to the Future or Blade Runner.

This car can go 800 kilometers on a single charge, has a maximum power of 680 horsepower, and can go from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than three seconds. But what really shocks is the design of the car’s interior, which has nothing to do with its past and is meant to create a new space. The design is based on straight lines and has a special steering wheel and a dashboard with different driving and entertainment devices.

Lenovo introduces a dual-screen laptop

A dual-screen laptop might sound like a complicated idea, but Lenovo has made one that looks like a real breakthrough in portable technology. It’s perfect for people who want more space but don’t want to buy another monitor.

This laptop has two 13.3-inch OLED touch screens and a base that can hold both of them. It also has an extra keyboard, which makes it perfect for anyone who needs a little more space.

In a similar way, Lenovo made the ThinkBookPlus Twist, a laptop with an OLED screen on the front and an E-Ink screen (like an e-reader) on the back. This helps save battery life and protect your eyes, and the best part is that you can switch between the two just by turning the screen.
