At least 360 Australia whales have died off the coast of the country’s Tasmania, officials say. The death of so many whales in the country is rare.

Citing rescue workers, The Guardian reported that they had rescued 50 whales by Wednesday. Another 30 live whales are stranded on the beach. Efforts to rescue them are on.

Last Monday, whales were caught off the coast of Tasmania. Meanwhile, videos of whales being rescued off the coast have spread around the world.

The official added that at least 450 whales have been stranded off the coast of Tasmania so far.
