1. Italian cuisine
According to TasteAtlas users, Italian food is once again in the top spot this year. The highest-rated Italian meal received a better score than the first Japanese dish, even though it had the same average as Japanese food. Put simply, the pizza prevailed!
Lastly, the TasteAtlas community has selected Osteria Madonnetta (Marostica), Agriturismo Sapori Di Campagna (Ofena), Pizzeria Starita a Materdei (Naples), and Osteria dell’Enoteca (Florence) as some of the best Italian restaurants.
2. Japanese cuisine
Japanese food comes in second place among the world’s top cuisines, with an average rating of 4.65. Ramen, Wagyu steak, and red tuna are among TasteAtlas users’ favorite foods and dishes.
Users of TasteAtlas have determined that Nihombashi Kakigaracho Sugita (Chūō), Nishiazabu Taku (Minato), and Sushi Miyakawa (Sapporo) are the greatest Japanese restaurants.
3. Greek cuisine
However, in the most recent rating, Greek food drops from second place in 2022–2023 to third place. The most popular ingredients and traditional recipes are Greek pistachios, Kalamata olives, local peaches, and Fava Santorinis, a type of yellow pea cream typical of the Cyclades.
The TasteAtlas directory features the eateries that have received the highest user ratings for Greek food. They are Taverna Ninos (Corfu), Peskesi (Herakleio), and To Antik ris to (Chanea).
4. Portuguese cuisine
Among the world’s best cuisines, Portuguese cuisine ranks fourth. TasteAtlas users really like Presunto do Alentejo, Queijo Serra da Estrela, and Carne dos Açores (Azorean pork).
Os Três Pipos (Tonda), Pastéis de Belém (Lisbon), and Restaurante Casal da Penha (Funchal) are a few of the Portuguese eateries that TasteAtlas users have recommended.

5. Chinese cuisine
We made it to the top five of the list. Chinese food comes in fifth, mostly because of these recipes and ingredients: Jiaozi (steamed dumplings), soy sauce, and Jinxiang Da Suan (white garlic typical of the Jinxin region).

The best Mexican food can be found at these highly recommended restaurants: Caesar’s (Tijuana), Casa Valadez (Guanajuato), and El Mural de los Poblanos (Puebla de Zaragoza). The three eateries are verified based on the prior issue.
8. French cuisine

Spain and its usual products fall to ninth place in the 2022/2023 rating from third place. The TasteAtlas community’s favorite cuisines and dishes are 100% Iberian Bellota jamon and Arbequina oil.

10. Peruvian cuisine
Peruvian cuisine is ranked 10th on the list of the top 10 cuisines in the world. Ají limo, aji Camarillo, and lúcuma (a fruit used primarily in pastry manufacturing) are the most popular meals.
Apart from the ranking of the countries, TasteAtlas also suggests the neighborhood eateries that the public has selected as having the greatest cuisine in each of those distinct nations.
