Next week, Apple Fitness+ will get Collections and Time to Run features. The first is a “selected set of workouts and meditation from the Fitness+ collection,” while the second is an “audio running experience” aimed to help users improve their running. Apple Watch will be used to access the new services. Apple Fitness+ will also debut the third season of Time to Walk, as well as a new Artist Spotlight featuring music from well-known performers, next week.
Apple revealed a couple of new features for Apple Fitness+ in a blog post that will go live on January 10. Collections and Time to Run are two of the new services, as previously indicated. The former has a collection of workouts and meditations that can be used to assist users to achieve their fitness goals. 30-day Core Challenge, Improve Your Posture with Pilates, Perfect Your Yoga Balance Poses, Run Your First 5K, Strengthen Your Back, Stretch Your Hips, and Wind Down for a Better Bedtime will be available at launch.
Time to Run is described as an “audio running experience aimed at helping users improve their running consistency and performance.” Emily Fayette, Jamie-Ray Hartshorne, Sam Sanchez, Scott Carvin, and Cory Wharton-Malcolm provide coaching suggestions in each episode of Time to Run. The coaches pick encouraging and energizing playlists for each episode of Time to Run on Apple Fitness+. It will premiere with three episodes, with a new episode released every Monday.
Apple will also release the third season of Time to Walk, a podcast-style series in which celebrities, musicians, health experts, and campaigners share their inspiring tales with Fitness+ subscribers. Each week, a different guest will be featured on the show, and Rebel Wilson will be featured in the first episode of season three. Hasan Minhaj, Bernice King, Chris Meloni, and others are among the famous visitors.
Finally, new workouts featuring Ed Sheeran, Pharrell Williams, Shakira, and The Beatles will be featured in the Artist Spotlight. Each playlist will be dedicated to a specific artist, and Apple will release new workouts including music from these artists every Monday for the next four weeks. Cycling, Dance, HIIT, Strength, Treadmill, and Yoga are all examples of workouts. Chill Vibes, Everything Rock, Hip-Hop/R&B, Latin Grooves, and Upbeat Anthems are some of the music genres. The new Artist Spotlights will be available to Apple Music and Apple One members as well.
