It’s all about James Cameron’s long-awaited film. We’re talking about Avatar, of course. Finally, information on the sequel has emerged. To begin, we’ll look at the title: Avatar: The Way of Water. When will it be released? On December 16, the film will be released in theaters.
The news was revealed during CinemaCon. “Just unveiled at CinemaCon, Avatar: The Way of Water exclusively in theaters December 16, 2022,” the filmmakers said on Instagram alongside a poster confirming the film’s title.
Kate Winslet, Sigourney Weaver, Edie Falco, Giovanni Ribisi, Michelle Yeoh, Jermaine Clement, and Oona Chaplin feature in Avatar: The Way of Water.
According to Variety, participants at CinemaCon got a first look at the teaser trailer. With 3D glasses on, everyone applauded James Cameron’s masterpiece. The trailer will be officially published in theaters ahead of MCU’s highly anticipated feature Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, which will transport you to the magical planet of Pandora. On May 6, the film will be released.

“We need to make sure [audiences] have an experience they can’t get anywhere else, and that needs to be exclusively in theaters,” producer Jon Landau stated at the time of the teaser’s release.
The first look images for Avatar: The Way Of Water were published on Twitter in September of last year.
“Jake Sully lives with his newfound family formed on the planet of Pandora,” according to the official synopsis of Avatar: The Way of Water. Jake must cooperate with Neytiri and the Na’vi race’s army to safeguard their world as a familiar threat returns to finish what was started previously.”
