Global release of the Realme GT 2 series has been confirmed and the date is February 28. Realme’s flagship series will be unveiled on the first day of Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2022 next week. Realme’s flagship smartphone series consists of two models: the Realme GT 2 and the Realme GT 2 Pro. In early January, both gadgets were released in China. The Snapdragon 888 SoC powers the standard Realme GT 2, while the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC powers the Realme GT 2 Pro. It’s unclear whether the global versions of the devices will differ from the Chinese versions.
Realme confirmed the global debut of the Realme GT 2 series via a press release and a tweet on February 28 at 9 a.m. GMT (2:30pm IST). The flagship smartphone series will be unveiled on the first day of MWC 2022, and the event will be broadcast live on Realme UK’s Twitter and YouTube accounts. Although no date has been set for a specific India launch, Realme CEO Madhav Sheth hinted earlier this month that the Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro would be released in India shortly.
Realme GT 2 Specifications
It’s unclear whether the global version of the Realme GT 2 series will have the same specifications as the Chinese version, which was released earlier this year. The display of the Realme GT 2 is a 6.62-inch full-HD+ E4 AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate. It has a Snapdragon 888 SoC under the hood, as well as up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage.
The Realme GT 2 comes with a triple back camera system that includes a 50-megapixel primary sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor. A 16-megapixel selfie camera is located on the front of the phone. Wi-Fi 6, 5G, Bluetooth v5.2, and NFC connection are all available on the Realme flagship smartphone. It includes a 5,000mAh battery and supports 65W rapid charging.

A 6.7-inch 2K (1,440×3,216 pixels) LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 400 nits of peak brightness, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection is featured on the Realme GT 2 Pro. It has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage.
A 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 5-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor make up the smartphone’s triple back camera configuration. The Realme GT 2 Pro has Wi-Fi 6, 5G, and NFC connection. It includes a 5,000mAh battery and supports 65W rapid charging.
