In Kolkata, Jaya Ahsan has won yet another prize. This time, she was named Best Actress by the prestigious West Bengal Film Journalists Association (WBFJA) for her outstanding performance in Atanu Ghosh’s “Binisutoy.”
The actress shared photos of herself accepting the award from legendary actor Prosenjit Chatterjee on social media.
Honored and overjoyed to earn the Best Actress prize for “Binisutoy” at the renowned WBFJA Cinemar Somabarton, she wrote.
“I’d like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Jury for bestowing this prestigious award upon me, as well as Atanu Da and the entire team of “Binisutoy” for believing in me and my audience and showering us with affection.”
Other accolades were given to the film in other categories, including Best Film (Critic), Best Actor (Ritwick Chakraborty), and Best Director (Atanu Ghosh).
