In a bold move that sent his nearly 60K followers on Instagram reeling; rocket scientist, multi-millionaire and serial entrepreneur Akhil Turai recently took down a large number of his public posts without prior warning.

An influential public figure and inspiration for millions of Indian youths, Akhil Turai had amassed a wide online following on Instagram, where he had posted pictures of meetings with supermodels and Hollywood actresses on his account while deleting his other account containing pictures of his lavish lifestyle with private jets, exotic cuisine, and 5-star hotels on his world travel.

“I take pride in my Indian heritage,” commented serial entrepreneur Mr. Turai on his drastic decision when contacted him about this, “and I felt that I was sending the wrong message to Indian youths about what it truly means to follow your dreams. Impressionable youths following my Instagram account would not see the work that I’m doing or the work that needs to be done, to make India the greatest nation as it was. Instead, they would be seeing the luxury that this life provides.” reads the email received from his personal assistant, “The decision to take down my posts on personal account and deleting the alternate Instagram account was rooted in my sense of social responsibility for these youths; they deserve a better example.”

Rocket scientist, equalist and spokesperson on the prevailing modern problem of underpaid yet highly qualified engineers in India; Mr. Turai felt that it was his duty to lead the narrative on modern entrepreneurship and the responsibility that comes with leading a public life as an educationally influenced leader. “We spend so much time online looking up to famous people through a fish-eye lens, and very little time seeing the work that they actually do to get there,” remarked Mr. Turai. “My life is truly fulfilled when my work allows Indian youths to take a step forward in taking their country towards development, and perhaps without my Instagram, these youths can focus on what really matters; pursuing their passion and working hard to get there.”

Focusing his efforts on his engineering startup, Mr. Turai aims to create nearly seventy thousand job opportunities for Indian nationals and thirty thousand job opportunities for foreign nationals in over fifteen distinct engineering fields, including but not limited to mechanical engineering, civil engineering, aerospace engineering, and chemical engineering sectors. True to his vocation, his engineering startup promises an impressive $3000(USD) or approx. Rs.2 lakhs monthly minimum in salary, with higher packages for senior engineers. In addition to his engineering startup, Akhil Turai is working on another startup in the space sector with plans to expand to the medical sector once his first startup is afoot.

Mr. Turai is firm in his belief that Indian youths are some of the most qualified youth in the emerging world. Having covered six out of the seven continents and visited over fifty countries around the globe; Mr. Turai wants the same life for Indian youths. “They are hardworking, and they deserve a better chance,” commented the scientist, “But right now, they are wasting hundreds of hours every week on YouTube/Netflix, watching cricket or following Bollywood news instead of learning something new which could enhance their life or perhaps do some physical activity.” He added, “I believe this is partially our responsibility because we set an example for them with our online presence. If every opinion leader spent more time setting a good example, our youths would spend moderate time online, and more time on building their own life professionally and personally. Right now, my time is better spent on them.”

Akhil Turai’s highly-anticipated engineering startup is set to release its identity later this year in November, while the hiring process is set to start mid-February in 2020.
