The Indian Super League (ISL 2023-24) season begins on September 21 with Kerala Blasters taking on Bengaluru FC at Kochi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium.
Matches between these two clubs are always feisty and create a terrific atmosphere because both teams have a fantastic fanbase, whether at home or away.

Bengaluru FC 1-0 Kerala Blasters (March 3, 2023)
This has to be the most contentious game in ISL history. Because it was a knockout match, the winner would advance directly to the semifinals.
With the match still goalless after 90 minutes, both teams were forced to play extra time.
During extra time, the Blues were awarded a free kick, which was immediately taken by Sunil Chhetri and ended up inside the net.
The sequence of events that followed, however, saw Kerala Blasters players object, claiming that the referee did not blow the whistle and that Ivan Vukomanovic’s team was not prepared when the kick was taken.
After the score, Ivan and his teammates walked off the field, and KBFC captain Adrian Luna removed his arm band in rage. The Blasters’ players did not return, and BFC qualified automatically with a 1-0 victory.
Bengaluru FC 1-0 Kerala Blasters (February 11, 2023)
Bengaluru FC hosted Kerala Blasters in the first of three league games at Sree Kanteerava Stadium.
The Blues, who were on a five-match winning streak, extended it to six with a 1-0 victory over Kerala Blasters.

Kerala Blasters 3-2 Bengaluru FC (December 11, 2022)
Kerala Blasters defeated Bengaluru FC in a thrilling five-goal thriller in front of a home crowd at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in their first encounter of the ISL 2022-23 season.
Sunil Chhetri scored his first goal of the game in the 14th minute after effectively converting a penalty. However, BFC’s lead did not last long, as Marco Leskovic equalized in the 25th minute.
Dimitri Diamantakos scored just before halftime in the 43rd minute, giving the Blasters a 1-0 lead at the break.
Apostolos Giannou scored in the 70th minute to give the Blasters a 2-0 lead. Javi Hernandez got one back in the 81st minute, but Vukomanovic’s team held on for the win.
Kerala Blasters 1-0 Bengaluru FC (January 30, 2022)
On Sunday, Naorem Roshan’s goal helped Bengaluru FC defeat Kerala Blasters 1-0 at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco.
Roshan made full use of a freekick awarded to BFC after Kerala’s Lalthathanga Khawlhring was fouled outside the box. Roshan took the free kick and smashed a left-footed shot beyond the wall and into the net.
Bengaluru now has the same number of points as the third-placed Kerala Blasters, but having played two fewer games.

Bengaluru FC 1-1 Kerala Blasters FC (November 28, 2021)
At the Bambolim Stadium, Kerala Blasters and Bengaluru FC played off a largely drab and depressing 1-1 tie.
Ashique Kuruniyan’s right-footed effort from distance appeared to be heading out in the 84th minute, only for Blasters goalie Albino Gomes to drag the ball back into his net.
Kuruniyan scored again four minutes later, but this time it was an own goal, shooting the ball into the top of the net while attempting to clear.
