Google Drive already includes a lot of search possibilities. But, we suppose, that isn’t enough. The business is working on a new search function to improve search and make it easier for customers to find specific files in Google Drive.
According to News Media, the corporation has already begun preparing to test a new search filter known as ‘Search filter chips.’ The new search chip search filter will provide a new set of options at the top of the Google Drive interface, allowing users to focus their searches by file type, last modification date, and users linked with the file.
As previously mentioned, Google Drive already features search filters that allow users to narrow their searches by word, date, time, contact, and other criteria. They are, nevertheless, needed and concealed within the search bar. Users will find the new filter chips to be more immediately available and accessible, and they will have more search filter possibilities.
For those who are unaware, a similar search filter chip was added to Gmail last year, and we anticipate a similar deployment on Google Drive.
