The Chevrolet Camaro STRODE is the latest custom car made by the world-famous custom car builder and parts maker Ringbrothers. It is a reimagining of the famous 1969 American muscle car.
Built from the ground up, this car was made with a lot of carbon fiber parts and a modern powertrain, chassis, and suspension to give one of the most famous cars ever seen on the streets a new lease on life.
The STRODE took over 6,500 hours to build and only used two parts from the original Camaro. It is a great example of Ringbrothers’ high-end design, engineering skills, and strict build quality.
A lot of that work was spent carefully putting together the custom carbon fiber bodywork. And it’s not just a copy of the original Camaro body because Ringbrothers made the new carbon fiber version five inches longer. The side panels were lowered, the middle of the roof was lowered, and a new, longer, reshaped hood was made to help push air toward the intake vents that were moved.
Custom fenders, split front and rear bumpers, diffusers, valances, and a spoiler are all made of carbon fiber. They are all painted BASF Glasurit Ghost White to give this Chevrolet a stunning finish.
Upholstery Unlimited built a completely custom interior for the car, which has a JL Audio sound system, Dakota Digital gauges, and a Vintage Air Gen IV climate control system for the most modern comforts. The anti-roll chassis was made by hand, and the rear seat got rid of extra weight.

“The STRODE build process shows what can be done with cutting-edge technology, painstaking attention to detail, and creativity,” said Jim Ring, co-owner of Ringbrothers.
“We made a digital model of the body of the first Camaro and used carbon fiber to make it look more aggressive. Along with high-tech parts, custom 3D-printed parts made from billet were also used to make the STRODE very capable and comfortable.
Modern drivetrain, chassis, and suspension work with STRODE’s new look to make it look more aggressive and give it a big boost in performance.
With a Holley Dominator EFI system that mixes fuel and air, a Wegner Motorsports LS3 with a Whipple supercharger on top can make a whopping 1,010 horsepower. Gases that have been used are let out through hand-made manifolds and Flowmaster silencers.
The car, which could compete with a sports car, has a reworked Bowler Tremec T-56 Mangum six-speed manual transmission, and a John’s Industries 9-inch rear end helps put the power to the floor.
The independent front and rear suspensions from Roadster Shop’s FAST TRACK line are joined to a Detroit Speed Engineering hydroformed subframe. QA1 MOD Series coil springs dampen the ride. The front wheels move three inches forward to make the car stand up straighter and handle better.

Ringbrothers didn’t say anything about how much it costs or how much it would cost to build the Strode, but you can be sure that it’s not cheap.
